Coming 2025
The Art Blox Box is a deck of 82 unique cards filled with inspiring prompts to get you creating. Created for artists and creatives to fight back the dreaded blank page and unleash their creativity. Each card comes with a photograph, written prompt and colour palette on the front.
There are many different ways you can go about, when it comes to picking your cards from the deck. Here are just a few options you can do, however, you may find your very own unique way to select your cards.
Pick from box
The Art Blox Box’s box has been designed in a way that allows you to display your deck of cards in your creative space. Allowing for easy access to selecting your cards directly from the box.
Fan out your cards
Fan out your deck and let your instincts guide you to selecting your cards. With the cards facing down you are able to leave it up to the creative gods to guide your hand.
Pick from a divided deck
Divide your deck as many times as you wish (three is my favourite 😉) and pull the card from the tops of each pile. You may even wish to shuffle each stack of cards to maximize the chance of selecting cards at random.
Sort the deck
Having a day where you know what you want to create but not sure what colour palette to use? Or perhaps you’re looking for a little extra spark. Sorting through the deck and selecting the cards that have sparked your creativity is another great way.
The magic of creativity is that an idea can spark from out of nowhere. It’s when you are struggling to find that spark that can be frustrating. Here are THREE different examples of ways that you can use your deck of The Art Blox Box.
Picking one Card from the deck
Using ONE card - Once you have your card, you can create your art work by selecting one of your creative prompts, be that the image, written prompt or colour palette. You can also combine the elements on your card by recreating the image on the card using the provided colour palette and/or written prompt.
Picking Two Cards from the deck
Using TWO cards - Once you have selected your cards, you can mix and match from both cards. Should the image from one speak to you, combine it with the written prompt or colour palette of the other card.
Picking Three Cards from the deck
Using THREE cards - Once you have selected your three cards, pick one element from each. For example, you may select the image of a flower from card one, the word prompt from another card three and use the colour palette from the second card you pulled to create your artwork.
There is no wrong way to use your cards.
